Steinsmyrarvotn Lakes & Streams – Sea Trout & Brown Trout
The Steinsmyrarvotn is a lake complex with several slow running streams and brooks interlinking. This is a productive fishery situated in an area known as Medalland, several kilometers west of the village Kirkjubaejarklaustur close to the south coastline.
The lakes support residential char of great size and quality and both sea run and residential brown trout, both strains of good average size. In the autumn and early spring the catch is mostly sea trout. In between the char and stationary browns are the main events.
The lakes are shallow and full of vegetation. The aquatic life is dramatic and as a result the fish looks fat and healthy.
The Steinsmyrarvotn inclusive self catering lodge offers all major facilities.
