Day tour suitable for both the experienced anglers and beginners alike

PRICE: $ 479 – $ 998

Itinerary

This is a combined day tour. Including fishing for arctic char and brown trout at the Holaa river, plus visiting the main Golden Circle route´s historical and natural highlights. The total tour duration is approx. 9-10 hours and thereof 4-5 fishing hours by the river.

The first stop on our day trip adventure is the Thingvellir National Park. A place of both great historical as well as geological significance. Thingvellir is situated in a rift valley where the tectonic plates of Europe and North America collide.

The next stop is the arctic char and brown trout river Holaa. The Holaa is a river completely self-sustainable and supporting native fish. The fish are of all sizes, but the most common size range is 1lbs up to 2lbs. The river is also supporting larger fish up to 6lbs plus. The Holaa is fished entirely from the river side or by wading. Most of the lies can be covered easily with single handed fly rods. Spin casting is also allowed.

After the fishing and a short lunch break by the river, we will head on to the Geysir area. Surrounded by geothermal pools filled with hot water and minerals, we will have the opportunity to see the Strokkur hot spring, known for erupting every 6-10 minutes.
The trip then continues to the magnificent Gullfoss waterfall and for the last but not the least, we will stop over at Kerid, a volcanic crater, before returning to Reykjavik.
