Governing Law/Jurisdiction Clause

These Terms and Conditions are in accordance with Icelandic law.

General

Go Fishing Iceland/Guide Mike´s Adventures slf ID. 590324-0190 – VAT Reg No. 152387 – Vefarastræti 36 – 270 Mosfellsbær – Iceland has all the officially required Day Tour Provider licenses.

1. Booking

When a client reserves a service through Go Fishing Iceland the contract is between Go Fishing Iceland and the client. The client is the person who is due to receive the service provided, or on whose behalf the reservation was made.
The contract between Go Fishing Iceland and the client is legally binding from the moment booking confirmation has been received, via the www.gofishing.is website, e-mail or telephone, together with payment term agreement (payment of deposit or full payment) set by Go Fishing Iceland and the client.

If a booking is made by telephone the contract is legally binding once the details of the reservation have been taken by Go Fishing Iceland.

2. Payment

The contract between Go Fishing Iceland and the client is in a form of a fully detailed invoice that will be sent to the client via e-mail (pdf format). The invoice will detail the quantity according to the booking, total price, as well as details according to the payment term agreement set by Go Fishing Iceland and the client.

Go Fishing Iceland accepts payments made with all major credit cards.

3. Cancellation policy

Go Fishing Iceland requires a deposit on all service bookings. The amount and time frame for the deposit varies between trips.

Trips booked 9-12 months in advance:

A deposit of 50% shall be paid no more than 14 days after booking is confirmed. This deposit is fully refundable in case of cancellation up to 90 days before the first day of service except for a non-refundable administration fee of USD.250. Any cancellation made between 90 days to 60 days prior to trip will qualify for a 50% refund. All trips shall be paid for in full no less than at time of service. No refund will be issued for cancellations within 60 days prior to trip.

Trips booked 3-9 months in advance:

A deposit of 50% shall be paid no more than 14 days after booking is confirmed. This deposit is fully refundable in case of cancellation up to 60 days before the trip except for a non-refundable administration fee of USD.250. Any cancellation made between 60 days to 30 days prior to trip will qualify for a 50% refund. All trips shall be paid for in full no less than at time of service. No refund will be issued for cancellations within 30 days prior to trip.

Trips booked 1-3 months in advance:

A deposit of 50% shall be paid no more than 10 days after booking is confirmed. This deposit is fully refundable in case of cancellation up to 30 days before the trip except for a non-refundable administration fee of USD.250. Any cancellation made between 30 days to 10 days prior to trip will qualify for a 50% refund. All trips shall be paid for in full no less than at time of service. No refund will be issued for cancellations within 10 days prior to trip.

All cancellations must be in writing, and sent to Go Fishing Iceland by letter, or e-mail. The client is welcome to contact gofishing@gofishing.is or call +354-7775573 according to particular set of circumstances. The invoice regarding the booking has to be included in the return. Refund is made if the above conditions are met.

4. Limitations of liabilities

Payment of a deposit or full payment means that the client has read, understands and agrees to all the terms and conditions outlined in this text.

Trips that involve outdoor activities travel through remote places and by rivers and lakes, such as those that involve fishing, hiking and hunting carry a risk for their participants. Even though Iceland has no threat of animals, the elements can be dangerous and when travelling to such a place, the client is required to acknowledge and accept these hazards as a condition of the clients’ participation.

Go Fishing Iceland, it’s owners and employees assume no responsibility, however caused, for injury, loss or damage to their clients person or property in connection with any service resulting directly from: nature, natural disasters, acts of God, force majeure, delays, strikes, thefts, government restrictions or regulations or any delay, inconvenience, schedule conflict, overbooking, double booking or any other mistake caused by a hotel service, airline service or any other service provider Go Fishing Iceland has no control over.

5. Additional information

Go Fishing Iceland does not include alcoholic drinks in their price since Go Fishing Iceland does not have legal rights to sell alcohol to its clients. If a client wishes to consume alcohol while enjoying a service provided by Go Fishing Iceland, the company advises the participant to bring his own on the trip.

Go Fishing Iceland does not include the price of international transport, car rental, hotel cost, newspapers, souvenirs, drinks nor meals before or after a service provided by Go Fishing Iceland, nor any other personally incurred essential expenses regarding a trip, such as for, drinks, meals, hire costs, clothing, fishing gear, hiking gear, camping gear, camping gas stoves, sleeping bags, mobile phones, compasses, detailed maps, GPS devices, etc. unless otherwise stated in the offer made by Go Fishing Iceland.

Go Fishing Iceland does not include optional gratuities for guides or other service employees in the price of the service.

6. Confidentiality

Go Fishing Iceland holds all information from the client in relation to the booking as confidential. Under no circumstances will information be handed to a third party.
